I can’t recommend this crèche highly enough. The teachers are incredibly affectionate, caring, and loving. My daughter adores them so much that she sometimes puts on her clothes at the weekend and insists she’s going to crèche. Her settling-in period (she started at 1 year and 10 months) was very smooth, and the teachers supported her every step of the way.
Home away from home Like most people, I researched so many crèches when I was sending my first daughter when she was 2 years old. I just loved LilyPad because there was such a lovely feeling from Sharon the owner and the beautifully decorated front garden that changes every season! Every time I walked past the garden I just thought anyone who would put that level effort into making their front garden fun for the kids so they have a good experience at drop off really cared. My daughter would arrive at crèche, check out what’s new in the garden and then melt into her teacher in the most beautiful, good morning hip hug and say bye bye Mummy. I took the year maternity leave and I was so worried who would kiss her boo boos when she fell, who would give her her dodi when she was too tired to sleep and who would tell her she’s wonderful when she did any one of her amazing things. And then I met her first teacher, who did all those things and I learned that my daughter was beyond happy, secure and loved so that I did not need to worry about who would mummy her when I was not there to. Now my second daughter will start shortly, and my older daughter, husband and I are so excited at the fun times ahead for her because we know what’s in store. We know she will be cared for as though I was still there. There will be photos of how she is enjoying herself to put my mind at ease, books read, amazingly artistic caricatures made of her and there will be excited giggles when I return to collect her at the end of the day but most of all there will be those morning hip hugs for her to start the day with happiness, security and love. LilyPad is the home away from home that I couldn’t have chosen better for my girls. And I feel so lucky that I found Sharon and her team of teachers to develop, teach and play with my baby as she grows into the cutest little toddler you’ve ever met, but I’m slightly biased 😉 Looking forward to my little baba starting in LilyPad 🩷 Ciara O’Donnell
